I took the delish.com recipe and switched it up after reading about how Joanna Gaines does her cookies (only use brown sugar.) I made this in a 12 inch cast iron skillet and had to double the recipe.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 & 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 1/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips, divided
Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Caramel syrup
Sprinkles of your choosing
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 10″ cast-iron skillet with cooking spray (I used a 12 inch and doubled the recipe, was a THICK cookie)
In a large bowl, use hand mixer to cream butter and sugars until fluffy
Add in egg and vanilla.
Continue and add flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until all combined.
Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips.
Spread dough into skillet in an even layer. Top with remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
Bake until edges are golden, 20 to 24 minutes.
Serve warm with ice cream, caramel syrup and sprinkles!
YUM!
